Hidden Valley Elementary has a fundraising committee that works in tandem with School Council to fund various events, items, and resources for our school community.
The fundraising committee helps cover costs associated with school transportation and field trips which eliminates or significantly lowers costs to families. Each year, the fundraising committee supports outdoor recreation activities for our students such as skiing, snowboarding, biking, canoeing, and swimming. In the 2023/24 school year, the fundraising committee spent over $17,000 on recreational activities including transportation costs, registration fees and food for camp-outs for our students.
School Council has purchased many items to help benefit our school environment such as:
- Reading program materials (de-codable books) to continue to improve literacy scores,
- class supplies,
- various field trips,
- a ski groomer and supplies,
- playground equipment,
- decorations for holiday events,
- professional licenses for continued staff professional development,
- keyboards for music,
- a new sound system.
Below are some fundraisers happening this year!
